“Open Hearts Sheet Music”

Notice that there are two files attached. The files are almost identical except for the intro. One file has three pages and the other one has seven pages that are easier to sightread for beginners.

The track is transcribed in the original key, B Flat Major, and uses basic major and minor chords Gm F Dm E♭.

Its cyclical chord change (loop) highlights melodic development. Interestingly that the tonic chords isn't used here.

“Open Hearts” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.

The left-hand provides an accompaniment. Play any pattern here (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato).

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by The Weeknd: a predominant articulation is staccato. Rare embellishments should not be skipped.

The composition is simple and plain. It was produced this way to highlight authenticity and sincerity of Tesfaye's lyrics. I wish it had an intense bridge and a real arrengement, not lazy ambient halo-pads in its instrumental.
